Economy Minister Holds Talks with WB Vice President for MENA Region


Rabat – Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, held talks in Rabat on Monday, with vice president for the MENA region at the World Bank, Ferid Belhaj, on a working visit to Morocco on February 18-21.

During the meeting, Fettah and Belhaj commended the fruitful cooperation between Morocco and the World Bank Group, characterized in particular by the quality of the reform and investment programs benefiting from the Bank’s technical and financial support, and its constant support for the economic and social development efforts undertaken by the Kingdom under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, said the Ministry of the Economy and Finance on its website.

The meeting was also an opportunity for Fettah to thank Belhaj, at the end of his term as vice president for the MENA region at the World Bank, for his personal commitment and ongoing efforts to strengthen financial and institutional cooperation relations between Morocco and the World Bank, added the same source.

For his part, Be
lhaj praised the quality and relevance of cooperation projects between the World Bank and Morocco, while hailing the spirit of constructive collaboration that has always animated the Bank’s relations with its Moroccan partners.
