EU: Relief Aid To Palestine Will Not Stop And We Reject The Imposition Of An “Comprehensive Siege” On Gaza

European Union foreign policy official Josep Borrell confirmed that relief aid to Palestine will not stop.

During a press conference on the Palestinian issue, held by the European Commission on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the European Union’s participation in the meeting of the 27th session of the Joint Ministerial Council between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, which was held in Muscat, Borrell called for acting in accordance with international laws, stressing. “The importance of ensuring peace for both parties to end violence.”

He pointed out that this crisis must be exploited to restore peace and enter into serious dialogues to resolve the issue, and try to determine the steps that must be taken.”

The European Union’s foreign policy official stressed the continental bloc’s opposition to the Israeli imposition of a comprehensive blockade on the Gaza Strip.

Borrell told reporters after emergency consultations of the European Union’s foreign ministers: Respecting international law means “refusing to cut off water, food, and electricity,” which was what was ordered by the Israeli army minister, Yoav Galant.

The Gaza Strip is subjected to continuous bombardment by the occupation army, which imposes a siege on Gaza and the West Bank while closing all crossings to prevent the entry of food and fuel supplies.
