EU voices “deep sadness” over attack on Synagogue in Tunisia

The European Wednesday expressed “deep sadness” over the attack on the La Ghriba synagogue in Djerba in Tunisia, which claimed the lives of four people, including a French national.

“The EU expresses its sincere condolences and solidarity to the families and loved ones of the victims and to all of Tunisia,” said Nabila Massrali, EU spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy in a statement.

The European Union stands by Tunisia at this difficult time, she added.
