Head of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Unit at the National Bank of Kuwait Children’s Hospital, Sondos Al-Rashida, said on Saturday that the first Congress on pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplant will be held Wednesday in Kuwait under the aegis of the Minister of Health, Khaled Al-Saïd.

During a press conference, she indicated that the congress will focus on hereditary diseases, immunity problems, cancers and treatments by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and will also allow to discuss the side effects of pediatric transplant.

The congress will further discuss the standards and norms of pediatric stem cell transplantation in Kuwait as well as the challenges and difficulties faced by the medical staff.
