GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed sympathy with the United State over the victims of the tornadoes that wreaked havoc on parts of the southern and midwestern states in the recent days.
In a brief statement on Monday, he offered condolences to the US government and people as well as the families of dozens of victims.
Al-Budaiwi wished the wounded people a quick recovery.
At least 20 people were killed when a slew of tornadoes struck in the states of Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Delaware and Alabama over the weekend, according to the US Weather Channel.
