Germany bans Russian, Ukrainian flags during WWII commemoration

German authorities in Berlin have banned Russian and Ukrainian flags from being flown near the city?’s memorials to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The German police attributed its desire to prevent conflicts or clashes over the Ukrainian war, without specifying the parties to the potential conflicts.
