Grand Mufti of Rwanda: King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition is One of the Greatest Events that Encourages All Muslims to Memorize the Quran

Grand Mufti of Rwanda Salim Hitimana said that the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran is one of the most significant events that encourages and contributes to young Muslims’ enthusiasm about and attachment to the holy book everywhere on the globe.

In his statement he issued on the occasion of the 43rd edition of this competition, which takes place from Safar 9 to 21 at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and features 166 contestants from 117 countries, and a total prize of SAR4 million, Hitimana also underlined the distinguished efforts exerted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance at previous editions, and expressing his thanks and appreciation for the Kingdom’s leadership for its continuous patronage of the Quran competition.
