Head Of The Islamic Supreme Council Of Iraq: What Extremists Do Of Insulting And Contempt For Religions Must Not Go Unpunished

Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, confirmed that the popular protests that expressed their opinion and courageous stance in defending their beliefs and sanctities regarding the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur’an in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, are the most prominent manifestation of freedom of expression.

A statement by his media office stated, “The insults and contempt of religions and transgression of the rights of others that the extremists are doing must not go unpunished.”
