His Highness the Amir’s Representative, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable Sunday to the Father Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

In the cable, His Highness Sheikh Mishal expressed thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Hamad for the warm reception and hospitality he and his accompanying delegation got during the inauguration of the FIFA World Cup.

His Highness also congratulated the Father Amir on the success of the opening festival of this global event, which is being held for the first time in the Gulf and Arab region, lauding apparent efforts and big preparations for this championship.

Sheikh Mishal wished that the championship would achieve its desired goals in disseminating peace and love amongst peoples.

His Highness the Amir’s Representative wished Sheikh Hamad everlasting health, and Qatar further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
