HM the king Sends Condolence Message to Family of Late Abbès Jirari


Rabat – His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and compassion to the members of the family of the late Abbès Jirari, former Advisor to the Sovereign, scholar and eminent writer, who passed away on Saturday in Rabat.

In this message, HM the King affirmed that he had learned with deep sorrow and immense sadness of the news of the death of the late Abbès Jirari, imploring the Almighty to accept him among the virtuous faithful and to welcome him into His vast paradise.

“In this painful circumstance, I express to you, to the whole of your family, to your relatives and to the family of the Kingdom’s scholars, as well as to all his admirers and students, My deepest condolences and My sincere feelings of compassion following this cruel loss, » praying God to « grant you patience and comfort”, the Sovereign wrote.

The passing of the late Abbès Jirari is a great loss not only for his honorable family, but also for Morocco, which has lost in him an outstanding academic personality renowned for the
abundance of his contributions to the scientific, literary and religious fields, emphasized HM the King, affirming that He remembered, with full consideration, the great human qualities and sincere patriotism of the deceased, renowned among great statesmen and eminent scholars.

The deceased was an example to follow in terms of defending the constant values and sacredness of the Nation and his unshakeable attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne, stressed the Sovereign.

HM the King also recalled the great respect and esteem in which the late Jirari was held by intellectuals and academics in Morocco and the Arab-Islamic world, as well as the intellectual probity and great skill he displayed in the various missions assigned to him, “both under the reign of Our revered father, the late His Majesty Hassan II, may God have His soul in His holy mercy, and under the orders of Our Majesty”.

“In sharing your grief over this tragic loss, We pray to the Almighty to grant the deceased the best of retributions as a re
ward for his praiseworthy and sincere deeds in the service of his King, his Homeland and his Religion,” the Sovereign added, imploring God to welcome the deceased into His vast paradise among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the virtuous ones.
