Riyadh, In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the MOI announced a reduction in the payment of traffic violations accumulated by violators, with an exemption of (50%) of the value of fines which are issued before 18 / 4 / 2024 by the coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

The MOI has explained that benefiting from the reduction with an exemption of (50%) from the value of fines requires the violator to take the initiative to pay all traffic violations accumulated on him/her within (6) months from the beginning of its effectiveness, whether by paying all fines at once or by paying the fine for each violation separately and not committing violations affecting public safety.

The MOI has indicated that violations committed with the entry into force of the reduction in
payment of accumulated traffic violations will be subject to Article (75) of the Traffic Law which allows for a reduction of one violation by (25%) along with the imprisonment and implementation in the event of non-payment of the fine after the expiry of the objection period and the legally prescribed payment deadline.

The MOI has called on all road users to adhere to the traffic rules to achieve the traffic safety requirements and not commit violations.
