The Head of the Europe Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Haider Mansour Al-Athari, met with the Finnish Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, Lisa Mautola, accompanied by the Finnish Consul Hana Lumitala, in the Ministry’s building.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they discussed ways to develop Iraqi-Finnish relations, as the Finnish charge d’affaires expressed her country’s desire to exchange official visits between high-level officials of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Chargé d’Affairs extended her thanks and appreciation to the head of the Europe Department for the support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Finnish mission in Baghdad, stressing her country’s keenness to continue and strengthen cooperation with Iraq at all levels.
