The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, inaugurated on Friday, in the presence of Development Bank (IsDB) President Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, two state-of-the-art hospitals and over 1,000 beds across six new hospitals in Indonesia through IsDB financing.

Dr. Al-Jasser highlighted the transformative impact of the new hospitals, especially the new child and mother care units, emphasizing their role in delivering world-class healthcare to Indonesian families. This marks a significant step forward in improving public health and driving sustainable development in the country, Al-Jasser said.

He stressed that IsDB is committed to assisting Indonesia in mobilizing financial resources, especially since the country is the 3rd largest shareholder of the Bank.

It is noteworthy that sDB has provided US$1.4 billion in financing for three health projects in less than four years, making Indonesia’s Health Ministry the biggest institutional partner for the Bank.
