Jordan: Missile blasts in air in area adjacent to Syria

A missile exploded Saturday in the air at 10:25 p.m. in the Wadi Aqraba area adjacent to the Syrian border, causing no casualties, Jordan’s authorities said Saturday.

Shrapnel of the missile fell into the same area, Jordan’s army said in a statement.

The statement indicated that the Corps of Royal Engineers’ specialized teams would deal with the accident to reveal any further details.

Jordan’s Armed Forces are observing any developments in the area, it said, calling on citizens not to circulate rumors and fake news.
