Baghdad, A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has recently visited Iraq to solidify its commitment to supporting the country’s healthcare system. During its visit to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, the team met with Iraq’s Health Minister Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi. The discussions focused on strengthening critical medical services within Iraq.
The KSrelief team outlined its plans to equip Basra Children’s Hospital with modern medical technology, including the provision of advanced medical devices, essential equipment, and a critical supply of medicines. These upgrades aim to elevate the hospital’s ability to serve patients throughout Iraq.
The delegation also addressed KSrelief’s ongoing project to supply Iraq with liquid oxygen and its necessary equipment. So far, 4,500 oxygen cylinders have been delivered to the Iraqi Ministry of Health. These cylinders have been strategically distributed to healthcare facilities across various Iraqi governorates.
Furthermore, the two parties
explored the forthcoming delivery and installation of oxygen tanks in Iraq, anticipated to arrive next month. The discussions covered finalizing delivery locations, ensuring the completion of pre-installation work, and facilitating the work of the implementing company chosen by KSrelief.
This initiative aims to further support the Iraqi Ministry of Health’s efforts in fulfilling the medical needs of its citizens and ensuring exceptional healthcare services.
