KSrelief, WFP Sign $10 Million Agreement to Provide Food Aid in Ukraine

Riyadh, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the World Food Programme (WFP) joined forces on Tuesday to deliver food assistance to people in Ukraine.

A $10 million agreement was signed by KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain.

Under the project, meals will be distributed in orphanages, hospitals, and centers for the displaced, benefiting 141,000 individuals from the most vulnerable groups affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

This assistance is an extension of the relief and humanitarian work carried out by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of people in need and displaced populations, and support food security in different countries in collaboration with specialized UN agencies.
