His Highness the Amir’s Representative, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable Sunday to the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

In the cable, His Highness Sheikh Mishal expressed thanks and appreciation to the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality he and his accompanying delegation got during inaugurating the FIFA World Cup.

His Highness Sheikh Mishal also congratulated the Amir on the success of the opening festival of this global event, which is being held for the first time in the Gulf and Arab region, lauding apparent efforts and big preparations for this championship.

Sheikh Mishal wished that the championship would achieve its desired goals in disseminating peace and love amongst peoples.

His Highness the Amir’s Representative wished the Amir of Qatar everlasting health, and Qatar further progress and prosperity, under his wise leadership.
