Kuwait Commerce Minister orders free food for frontline workers

KUWAIT, The Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Fahad Al-Shurai?’an announced on Sunday giving his instructions to the Ministry to offer free food supplies to frontline workers staff worthy of rewards in the Ministries of Health and Interior.

The free supplies will be distributed to the frontliners, starting from the first of March of the year 2022, in recognition of their distinguished efforts in encountering Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry added in a press release that Minister Al-Shurai?’an commanded the Ministry to start distributing the supplies as the explanatory schedules of the food supply cards were listed, according to data sent by the Ministries of Health and Interior, including (Kuwaitis and expatriates), in accordance with the Cabinet?’s resolution number 807 for the year 2020.

The distribution of food supplies to the expats will take place at the celebration?’s public halls located throughout the residential areas in the country.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah gave his instructions to fulfil the order of late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, former Amir of Kuwait, offering material and moral honouring including free food supplies to those who exerted all possible efforts to encounter Covid-19 pandemic.
