Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned as heinous and cowardly the deadly shooting attack against Japan’s former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe earlier Friday.

The ministry recalled in a statement the great contributions made by Abe to strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Kuwait, as well as his contributions to peace and development on the regional and global scales.

The State of Kuwait offers sincere condolences to Emperor, government and people of Japan as well as the family of the former prime minister, according to the statement.
