– Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah sent on Tuesday a cable of condolences to his US counterpart Lloyd J. Austin for the demise of former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell.
In his cable, the minister recalled Powell’s honorary stands and efforts in supporting legitimacy of Kuwait during his participation in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
