– Kuwait on Sunday exported its first shipment of diesel, weighing some 66 tons towards Europe, as markets there have begun to increasingly turn to non-Russian suppliers to meet their needs, its state-run petroleum company said.

The shipment has been produced with special qualifications that meet “Winter Grade” standards; a formulation that resists gelling in freezing temperatures, according to a Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) statement.

The company’s ability to produce such a “quality variation” of diesel fuel that complies with “unprecedented standards” proves that it has now forayed into the global market, added the statement.
