Kuwait’s Fire Force Colonel Ayman Al-Mufareh, said on Monday that his team has ended search and rescue operations in Islahiya area, and is now working in the most earthquake-affected area of Kahramanmaras province.

Colonel Al-Mufareh told KUNA, that the Turkish Crisis Management administration asked them to join efforts in Kahramanmaras province, noting that other foreign teams were asked to head back home and operations will be made local teams.

The Kuwaiti team was asked to join the most devastated area from the earthquake because of their capabilities, high tech equipment, Al-Mufareh added.

The Kuwaiti team still in search and rescue operation mode and will do all that it can to save lives, Al-Mufareh said.
