Kuwait FM meets country’s delegation at UNGA

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah met earlier on Sunday with Kuwait’s delegation representing the country to take part in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), at his residence in New York, at the United States.
The Minister conveyed the instructions of the political leadership and Kuwait people’s aspirations to the delegation and reassured the importance of following the principles of diplomatic works.
He was keen to offer the newly appointed Kuwaiti diplomats, who recently joined the foreign ministry with the foundation of Kuwait’s foreign policy pillars, as well as working to protect the sovereignty and independence of Kuwait and its people’s interests, he affirmed.
He called on them to work their best to represent Kuwait with the best image, by UNGA launching of a high-level week task.
The Minister also tackled during his meeting, the main contributions of Kuwait to the UN, and the heritage of Kuwaiti diplomacy digging back in history for more than 60 years at this international organization.
The Foreign Minister stressed on the importance of supporting international diversity, including the involvement in regional groups that Kuwait belongs to, working to fulfill the sustainable development that comes with the vision of “New Kuwait 2035”. The Minister later tackled the main points listed in the current UNGA session’s agenda
