Kuwait’s Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah welcomed on Wednesday UAE’s Minister of State in the Foreign Ministry Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan in the Kuwaiti permanent diplomatic mission HQ in New York.
During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmad Nasser renewed congratulations to the UAE on being elected as a non-permanent member at the UN Security Council for 2022-2023.
He expressed Kuwait’s full readiness to provide all kinds of support to the Emirati brothers to help them succeed in their mission in the Council, which will begin next January.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Shakhbout thanked Sheikh Ahmad Nasser for his visit to the UAE’s permanent diplomatic mission, and appreciated Kuwait for its full cooperation and high-level coordination. In addition, he thanked Kuwait for benefiting from its experiment at the UNSC in the 2018-2019 term.
