– Kuwait and Germany held on Thursday the 5th strategic meeting on the level of foreign ministers.

The meeting tackled several subjects of common interest, ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination on all levels, said Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry in a statement.

Kuwait Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Ambassador Waleed Al-Khubaizi headed the Kuwaiti side, while the German side was headed by the Director General for political relations in the Near and Middle East, Africa and Latin America Dr. Philipp Ackermann.

Al-Khubaizi praised the level of cooperation the two countries have reached during their tenure in the Security Council. He also said that Kuwait looks forward to more cooperation, especially after the recent collaboration in the commercial, economic, health, military, cultural, academic and development sectors between the two sides.

According to the statement, recent regional and international issues were also discussed.
