Kuwait interior ministry foils bids to smuggle drugs into the country

– The interior ministry personnel have seized and confiscated some 335 kilograms of hashish and one million captagon pills worth more than KD two million.

The ministry said in a statement on Friday that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah had overseen the drugs’ seizure, with attendance o the Minister of Commerce and Industry Mazen Al-Nahedh and other senior officers.

It indicated that the bid to smuggle the drugs was via the sea, noting that there was also a futile attempt to traffic into the country 20 kgs of hashish via land.
