Kuwait, Italy to strengthen bilateral relations

Delegations from Kuwait and Italy held a meeting in Rome on Wednesday, to discuss issues of mutual concerns.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the distinguished friendly ties between the two countries, and the latest regional and international developments. They expressed their hope of develop these relations in the field of politics, economic, investment, and culture, according to a specific mechanism and a time frame.

The meeting also dealt with the efforts made by Kuwait to exempt its citizens from the Schengen visa.

On his part, Kuwait Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Majdi Al-Dhafiri expressed his appreciation to Italy for its role in exempting Kuwaitis from the Schengen visa.

The delegation of Kuwait was headed by Ambassador Al-Dhafiri, while the Italian delegation was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni.
