Kuwait, Jordan foreign ministers agree on de-escalation to Israel violence

The foreign ministers of Kuwait and Jordan collectively pushed on Tuesday for an end to the violence inflicted by Israel across Palestinian territories, saying such aggressive and illegitimate practices should stop.

Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, who doubles as state minister for cabinet affairs, and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi concurred in a phone call that a two-state solution is the only way forward for peace in the Middle East.

The ministers also stressed on the need for international intervention to ensure Israel respects international laws, which prohibit the forced evictions of Palestinian families from their homes in the flashpoint East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
