Kuwait lists 1,384 new COVID-19 cases, five deaths

– Kuwait said 1,384 people tested positive for coronavirus while five related deaths were reported on Friday, taking the total up to 305,583 and 1,760, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,010 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 290,377, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told a press conference.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 13,446, with 151 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 10,927 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2,577,851.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus
