Kuwait’s daily coronavirus cases rose by 49 to 411,904 with no new deaths reported as the total remains unchanged at 2,452, the health ministry said on Tuesday.

Another 46 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 408,779, according to ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad in a statement.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus at COVID-19 wards is 36, with eight of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that another 673 are receiving regular treatment.

Some 20,489 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 4,372,460, mentioned the official.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
