Kuwait’s daily coronavirus cases rose by 555 to 405,442 as deaths increased by two to 2,380, according to the health ministry on Thursday.

Another 644 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 395,348, ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad said in a statement.

The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 516, with 223 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that another 7,714 are receiving regular treatment.

Some 12,619 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 3,565,742, mentioned the official.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
