The Ministry of Health said that 16 more coronavirus cases have been lab confirmed over the past 24 hours, with the overall caseload rising to 413,106.
The death toll from the viral illness remained unchanged at 2,464 as no fatality was reported, the ministry’s Spokesman Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad said in a statement on Friday.
Another 23 Covid-19 patients were cured, raising the overall recoveries to 410,383, he said, noting that the recoveries represent 99.34 percent of the infections.
The number patients who still receive regular treatment stands at 259, including 15 hospitalized and two ICU occupants.
A total of 17,847 newly-conducted swab tests took the overall tests to 5,147,207, he added.
