Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco held a meeting in Istanbul, Turkiye, on Monday, discussing a range of topics including issues pertaining to refugees and migrants in the region.

Al-Dustour news network said that the two officials met on the sidelines of the IPU’s Parliamentary conference on migration held in coordination with the Turkish parliament.

The two also touched on matters to be discussed at future IPU events in Indonesia and Rawanda next October, concluded the network.
