– Kuwait’s parliament will adjourn on Thursday by way of an Amiri decree, Kuwait’s top parliamentarian Marzouq Al-Ghanim said, inviting his fellow lawmakers for a speical session on Wednesday to address their pending requests.

“Parliament’s 16th legislative term will adjourn starting this Thursday July 1, “whereby the prime minister is now obliged to inform lawmakers of the news,” Al-Ghanim said in a statement.

On parliament’s closing session on Thursday, he said the country’s “financial situation” will be discussed, while the session the day before will address matters ranging from the rights of people with disabilities to progress on residential projects, he added.

He cited “lack of coordination” on the need to hold special sessions, saying all requests made by lawmakers will be given due attention.
