Kuwait prioritizes citizens’ welfare after Turkiye quake — FM

— Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah said on Wednesday that the wellbeing of nationals is the utmost priority, in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that struck southeastern Turkiye and parts of Syria. As he offered his condolences over the victims of the natural catastrophe, the Kuwaiti minister’s underlined his country’s “rapid response” to the calamity, citing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s instructions to provide immediate aid to the affected areas.

Kuwait stands in solidarity with Turkiye in the wake of the disaster, the minister underlined, hoping Ankara would get through this painful tragedy, he added.

According to government data, the death toll from the quake has reached 7,108, while some 41,000 others were injured
