Kuwait is eager to bolster trade and investment relations with African countries, which in turn would help meet the needs of the local market, a diplomat said on Wednesday.
Citing an “ambitious plan” to strengthen bilateral trade relations, Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ali Al-Saeed told a gathering of African envoys that an improvement in ties aims to stem a food security crisis sparked by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
He went on to mention that Kuwaiti and African officials have ratcheted up “high-level” talks recently as part of efforts to bring common goals to fruition.
