Kuwait reports 19 COVID-19 deaths, along with 1,263 infections

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Friday reported 19 new virus-induced deaths, where 17 among them were not vaccinated, and 1,263 infections over the past 24 hours.

The Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that the total fatalities increased to 2,193, and the caseload to 383,347 cases, while the recoveries have reached 363,992 after 1,599 patients were recovered today.

In terms of health zones, 33 percent of the cases were reported in Al-Ahmadi, 25 percent in Hawalli, 20 percent in Farwaniya, 13 percent in Jahra, and 10 percent in the Capital, he added.

Meanwhile, 17,162 patients in total are receiving health care, including 333 at intensive care units, he said.

The sum of 14,314 tests were conducted today, raising the total number to 3,210,665, he added.

Al-Sanad renewed his call on the public to maintain social distancing, and to abide with all health regulations that would help in stopping the virus spread
