Kuwait reports 4 COVID-19 deaths, 1,709 more infections, 1,316 recoveries

– Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Thursday declared 1,709 more infections of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 323,357.

People who recovered from the virus hit 1,316 in the same period, taking total recoveries to 306,232, Spokesman for the Ministry Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.

The death toll from the virus climbed to 1,810 after registering four mortalities in the corresponding period, Al-Sanad stated.

He noted that 15,315 patients are hospitalized, in addition to 160 cases at intensive care units.

Total medical swabs has climbed to 2.71 million after conducting 12,669 in 24 hours, he said, indicating that the ratio between recoveries and swabs is 13.49 percent today.

Al-Sanad renewed call for both citizens and residents to abide by health precautions and physical distancing, as well as avoid gatherings.

He further urged the public to follow up official accounts of the ministry and the state’s bodies to be briefed on guidelines and recommendations in order to control the spread of the virus
