Kuwait reports 4 deaths, 1,280 new COVID-19 cases Fri.

Kuwait said 1,280 people tested positive for coronavirus while four related deaths were reported on Friday, taking the total up to 314,569 and 1,787, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,156 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 298,485, ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told a press conference.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 14,297, with 151 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 11,064 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2.65 million.

He went on to urge nationals and residents alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
