Kuwait Friday strongly condemned a “cowardly terrorist” attack on a security checkpoint in northern Sinai, Egypt, which killed and injured a number of servicemen.

The State of Kuwait expresses full solidarity with Egypt and supports all measures taken by the government of Cairo to preserve security and stability as well as confronting terrorism and extremism, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

It offered condolences for the families of the victims, Egyptian leadership and people, and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
