Kuwait will host the broadest Arab scouting event themed “youth empowerment” during May 7-12, said the Arab Scout Parliamentary Union on Saturday.

The union secretary general, Faisal Al-Enezi, said in a statement that the major gathering would be held in coordination with the Arab Planning Institute, the Arab Scout Organization and the Kuwaiti Scout Association.

National Assembly Speaker and the union honorary chairman, Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, will sponsor the scouting evet.

Arab states will be represented at the event by 170 officials and figures.
