Kuwait’s National Karate team have bagged three medals in the 2022 Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Championship currently held in Uzbekistan.

Head of the Kuwaiti Karate Federation Mohammed Jassem told KUNA Friday, that contender Mousa Al-Mutairi won first place in the Cadet Kumite Male U-63kg.

Kuwait’s winning streak also included Essa Al-Mutairi’s bronze medal in the Cadet Kumite Male U-52kg competition, as well as Fahad Al-Azmi’s bronze medal in Cadet Kumite Male U-57kg.

He also mentioned, these wins were attained among the junior classes which are a considerable achievement, taking into consideration that the team isn’t contending at peak level of performance, due to school term exams.

Adding, that he has high hopes for the competitors to further extend their winning streak thanks to the staff and management’s efforts in preparations for this continental event
