Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, now on a visit to the Republic of Austria, held talks with Wolfgang Sobotka, president of the National Council (lower house of the Austrian parliament) in Vienna on Thursday They discussed the friendly relations between both countries and explored ways for strengthening cooperation in various areas.

Sheikh Salem noted that both countries have a shared belief in the democratic and humanitarian values as a means of promoting of peace and stability worldwide.

He expressed desire to strengthen the historical ties with the friendly Republic of Austria and promote cooperation which serves the interests of both nations.

On his part, Sobotka praised the exemplary relations with the State of Kuwait, noting that cooperation grew steadily in the recent years which meet the aspirations of both peoples.

The talks dealt also with regional and international issues, including the efforts to promote peace and security, and combat extremism and terrorism.
