Kuwaiti official affirms special care for Quran memorization at contest conclusion

Kuwait, namely the leadership and the people of the country, has devoted special care for memorizing the Quran and supporting and encouraging the verses’ memorizers, the Minister of Justice Abdulaziz Al-Majed said on Tuesday.

Al-Majed, also the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Boosting Nazaha (integrity) was speaking in a statement addressed on his behalf by the Awqaf Secretary General Sagr Al-Sejari during a ceremony for declaring winners of the 25th edition of Kuwait Quran Grand Contest award, sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Up to 2,222 contestants took part in the latest competition. And, up to 232 memorizers won the award in addition to 20 institutions.
