Kuwaiti shooter advances to final of Tokyo Olympics’ Skeet competition

— Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Turgi Al-Rashidi advanced to the finals of Men’s Skeet qualification in the Tokyo Olympic Games on Monday.

Turgi finished at fifth position with a score of 122 in the qualification round, securing a final spot.

He won the shoot-off after six shooters were tied for fourth place at 122 hits in the qualification event at the Asaka Shooting range. The final will start at 3:50p.m. (0650 GMT).

Meanwhile, Mansour Al-Rashidi failed to advance out of the qualifying round and finished 16th with 120 targets. Some 30 competitors shot 125 targets over two days from Sunday, with the top six advancing to the finals
