Kuwaiti specialist inducted into New York-based Retina Hall Of Fame

The Retina Hall Of Fame (RHOF) — based in New York — chose Kuwaiti ophthalmologist and retina specialist Dr. Khaled Al-Sabti amongst its inductees for the class of 2020-21.

The list of inductees — in which Dr. Al-Sabti is part of — consisted of 57 medical professionals. He is the first Gulf physician to earn this honor.

Speaking to KUNA, Dr. Al-Sabti said that he was honored to be chosen as one of the best in the world in his field of expertize.

This honoring further solidified the status Kuwaiti medical professionals on the map of retinal and eye surgery, Dr. Al-Sabti affirmed, adding that he was chosen in recognition of his innovation, contribution and research within his profession.

Dr. Al-Sabti revealed that the formal induction into the RHOF for the class of 2020/2021 came during a webinar held on December 12.

The RHOF is a nonprofit international organization established in 2016.

In 2019, the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) has chosen Dr. Al-Sabti to broadcast live one of his intricate operations during the annual meeting of the society.
