Kuwait’s Burgan Bank on Sunday posted a net profit of KD 45.4 million (about USD 149.8 million) for the fiscal year 2021, an annual growth rate worth 35 percent.
In a statement, the bank said revenues increased by 10 percent to reach KD 234.7. million (USD 774.5 million) on an annual rate, while its capital increase jumped to nearly KD 71.2 million last year.
Kuwait’s banking sector has learned to “cope” with the COVID-19 pandemic, taking tangible steps towards a digital revolution, a Burgan Bank statement quoted chairman Majed Al-Ajeel as saying.
