Kuwait’s COVID-19 infections jump by 4,294, 5,022 recoveries, one death

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MoH) registered on Monday 4,294 additional COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour span, increasing the total number of infections to 583,113, while one fatality was recorded, raising the death toll to 2,511.

There were 5,022 fresh recovery cases, increasing the total to 527,904 cured people so far, as recoveries represent 90.5 percent of the overall infections, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.

Active cases amounted to 52,698 with 91 of them in intensive care units, and 532 patients at hospital wards, he said.

Health authorities conducted 31,464 swab tests to a total of 7,142,068, which meant that 13.6 percent of swab tests performed in 24 hours were infections, he revealed.
