Kuwait’s KRCS dispatches 12 aid trucks to Turkiye, north Syria

Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) affirmed on Wednesday dispatching 12 aid trucks loaded with medical supplies to Turkiye and North Syria to aid those affected by the earthquake that left thousands of victims and others injured.

The convoy, loaded with blankets, tents, and electrical appliances, is part of the assistance of the government and the people of Kuwait to the Turkish and Syrian people in northern Syria, KRCS General Secretary Maha Al-Barjas said in a press statement.

She added that Kuwait stands heart and soul with the Turkiye and Syria, and that it will not delay a day in extending a helping hand to them.

KRCS volunteers will supervise the distribution of aid in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent, said Al-Barjas, indicating that it is part of the humanitarian initiatives of the association, funded by the people of Kuwait.

Al-Barjas stressed the importance of the interaction and response of international organizations with Turkiye and Syria, pointing to KRCS keenness to increase its efforts to provide support and stand by them.

Al-Barjas expressed appreciation for the continuous partnership between KRCS and its Turkish counterpart, in the implementation of relief and humanitarian programs inside Turkiye in the affected areas, praising the efforts of Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kuwait Embassy in Ankara to facilitate the tasks of the Kuwaiti mission and supervise the distribution process
