Ma’an report: Tawjihi exams begin in June without the Gaza Strip

Gaza – Together – The general secondary school exams (Tawjihi) begin in Palestine without the Gaza Strip for the first time in decades.

About 40,000 students from the Gaza Strip, out of 90,000 students, were unable to sit for the exams due to the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Israel completely and partially destroyed about 300 schools, while the displaced live in the rest of the schools.

The educational process has not been organized in the Gaza Strip since October 7.

The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo decided to include some high school students from the Gaza Strip who were able to reach Egypt into the exam schedule.

It announced the distribution of seat and committee numbers according to a specific order.

Thousands of students were martyred in the Gaza Strip, including hundreds of high school students, in the war that is still ongoing.

According to the Ministry of Education, 5,881 students were martyred and 9,899 were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7
on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
